"Some have proclaimed our age as the death of adventure, but I'm here to tell you that adventure is still to be found. It may not be as grand as it was during the golden age, but it can still leave a gigantic mark.....maybe not on history itself but certainly on your personal history"
(Matt Artz - "Confessions of a Weekend Warrior")
In the past Tony and I have cycled up the East coast of Australia and across to Darwin. Simon has joined me and others for some shorter cycling adventures, the East Gippsland Rail Trail, the Murray to Mountains Rail and the Goulburn River High Country Rail Trail. In 2013 I proposed a new form of adventuring, kayaking on the Murray River. Tony and Simon embraced the idea and we purchased together 3 Prion Seayaks from Melbourne Kayaks. Since then we have paddled the Yarra & Maribynong rivers in Melbourne and been out of Port Phillip Bay and Andersons Inlet and the Gippsland Lakes.
Finally in November 2014 we got to start our Murray River Big Paddle!
